“Always give love.”

– Faris D. Virani

When Faris D. Virani was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer at the tender age of 6, he received many gifts from his friends and family while in the hospital. Instead of keeping the gifts for himself, Faris (whose nickname is JuJu) wanted to share them with his floor mates on the children’s cancer unit. With his chemo pole in tow, Faris went from room to room giving gifts, thereby spreading “Good JuJu.” We continue our Chief Angel Officer’s legacy of love and generosity through our Good JuJu program.

Our Approach

We send carefully curated, uniquely personalized Good JuJu Care Packages to children with cancer, delivering joy and magic in the most challenging of times.

Each care package is a connection, a reminder to families that they are not alone, and along with the toys and presents, there are also the gifts of community and of hope.

Request a care package

Our Good JuJu Care Packages are lovingly prepared for children diagnosed with cancer, and each care package is completely unique. Simply fill out the request form, and our team will send a special care package to your intended recipient.

Volunteer Opportunities

Host a Good JuJu party

Bring your people together with purpose: host a Good JuJu Party and help us get Good JuJu out the door! Your team will decorate and wrap packages, while getting to know more about The Faris Foundation and the children we serve. A Good JuJu Party is a meaningful way for any group – from scout troops to business leaders, and beyond – to cultivate cohesion and a spirit of service. Learn more here.

Pack at Home

Approved individual volunteers can pick up gifts and supplies at our office to decorate and wrap packages at home. Prepared packages must be returned to The Faris Foundation office within 48 hours. Contact Tiffany Talbert at tiffany@thefarisfoundation.org to learn more.

DIY Wrapping Paper

Unleash your imagination and create the one-of-a-kind wrapping paper that makes our care packages so special! We send you pre-cut butcher paper, you bring it to life and return it to us, and our volunteers use it to wrap gifts for children with cancer. This is especially a great opportunity for kids, whether individually, in groups, or as a classroom, to get involved! Contact Tiffany Talbert at tiffany@thefarisfoundation.org to learn more.

Good JuJu Birthdays
